Full on collapse by the #Dolphins this season.
— Armando Salguero (@ArmandoSalguero) January 1, 2023
So Dolphins, if this score holds, will enter Week 18 needing to beat Jets and a Patriots loss at Bills to clinch playoff spot and avoid most stunning collapse in franchise history.
— Barry Jackson (@flasportsbuzz) January 1, 2023
Devastating loss for the Miami Dolphins. 8-3 has become 8-8. No playoff destiny. No certainty at QB. Not even a first-round pick this year. Crushing.
— Joe Schad (@schadjoe) January 1, 2023
The last time the Dolphins lost five straight this late in the season: 1993. 9-2 turned into 9-7 and a missed playoffs. This is up there with that season among worst collapses in franchise history.

Really don't have much analysis for this game, I'm sorry y'all

When does Chris Grier start getting blame for constructing a roster that can’t hold up (mentally and physically) in the most important part of the season? He’s flown under the radar this season.
— Matt Cannata (@CannataPFN) January 1, 2023
A disappointment.
An embarrassment.
A collapse.
A curse.Whatever you want to call the meltdown of the past 5 weeks, it’s probably valid.
But if your blood is aqua and orange, you’re already tough enough to get through this.
Roll on September…#FinsUp always.

Season is over.

(part 3) With no hope in sight of anything changing anytime soon, it is difficult to be excited about the future heading into next season abd beyond. This 2022 season and the Historic Collapse we are watching hurts to watch.

And now, here they are, in the midst of a huge investment in right now, and they seem incapable of breaking through the mediocrity. Not even to championship status, but even into top tier. You can blame injuries, poor asset management, coaching, or whatever, but the fact is…

— Troy Stradford (@TroyStradford) January 1, 2023
Chris Grier has been with the Miami Dolphins since 2000. Four playoff trips since he came to the Dolphins. And one in six years as GM. At some point you need to accept that he’s part of the problem and not the solution.
— Simon Clancy (@SiClancy) January 1, 2023
I honestly cannot believe this team fell apart this is badly.
8-3 and going to miss the playoffs.
What a f*cking joke.

True sports fandom can be tragically depressing. I had an amazing Holiday week with my family but I’d be lying if I said it wasn’t overshadowed by Dolphins losses on both Christmas & New Years. It’s easy to shout “priorities” but this is 40 years in the making #FinsUp

nothing the dolphins do could stop me from being a fan. it’s a toxic relationship, but i’m in it forever lol. it is what it is & i’ll still be here cheering next week.

This is the most disappointed I’ve been in the Miami Dolphins. Coaching, effort and availability. From 8-3 to 8-8 is an utter disgrace
— Neal Driscoll (@NealDriscoll) January 1, 2023
This game has been absolutely painful.
— Blue (@Blue____78) January 1, 2023
This is an all time choke job by the Miami Dolphins. McDaniel has a lot to answer for this year. The offense doesn’t get to the line until 10 seconds on play clock and continues to abandon run in games. It’s so predictable in 2nd half of games. #sameolddolphins

The Miami Dolphins are emblematic of Mike McDaniel: small, impish, weak, bad.
— BrianCatNFL (@BrianCatNFL) January 1, 2023
This comment is why this franchise is trash. Tua in December is no better than what we saw today. And we’re gonna try and sell people on this why we need Tua. Highly disappointed in this comment. With or without Tua we’re bad until we get a real franchise QB. https://t.co/iJ87Nd3mPR

Life of a Dolphins fan:
1) get cocky on FA/draft pick ups
2) confused why they look meh when season starts
3) mid season push/in the hunt
4) pop champagne 72 Fins!
5) miss playoffs in embarrassing fashion
6) mock drafts/Zach Thomas HOF bitching/HC,GM,QB replacement
7) repeat— JS (@jstew9) January 5, 2022
There is no way we run it back with this roster next year , no way !! No one job is safe
